Use the map below to find the locations for most of the Scout Camps; including High Adventure Bases, located in the United States. This is an ongoing collection and may include camps that are no longer active or owned by the Boy Scouts of America so be sure to double check their status before arriving.

I’m sure there are some camps missing from the collection. I will work on adding a layer for camps formerly owned by BSA for additional clarity as I determine them as no longer active camps. And possibly a layer for those that offer Scout Summer Camps.

BSA Scout Camp Map Locations

There are hundreds of scout camps located across the United States. The map shows the locations of the camps which can be a great tool to find BSA Scout Camps in a location of the country that may be useful to support your troop activity.

Official BSA High Adventure Base Map Locations

BSA has four ‘official’ High Adventure Bases. These are well known by most in the scouting community.

Philmont Scout Ranch is the premier HA Scout Base located in northern New Mexico and offers numerous backpacking treks to meet crew needs.
Northern Tier is located within the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) in northern Minnesota. They offer summer canoe and winter sledding treks throughout the beautiful wilderness of the BWCA and other locations in Canada.
Sea Base Florida located on the island of Islamorada in the Florida Keys offers several sailing, scuba and STEM adventures throughout the waters and reefs surrounding the Florida Keys.
Summit Bechtel Reserve located in the hills of West Virginia adjacent to the New River Gorge National Park. The camp offers a wide range of High Adventure activities from the paddling the rapids of the New River, climbing, shooting sports, biking, skateboarding and zip lines.

Unofficial BSA High Adventure Base Map Locations

There are many “unofficial” BSA High Adventure Bases throughout the country. They vary in offerings and organization to support troop in preparation for activities.
